Linda Elizabeth Moreno Class of 1977 Throughout the years, we have used our website to make you aware of extremely unfortunate circumstances that befall our fellow alumni.  Our intention is to ask you to help us provide assistance at their time of need. Today, we ask you to please help our fellow alumni, Linda E. Moreno, who is currently staying with her sisters in Austin, Texas. Several weeks ago, on April 12, 2011, Linda from the Class of 1977 suffered an unbelievable accident that reinjured her TOTAL JAW PROSTHESIS that was surgically placed back in 1996. As a result of this recent tragedy, Linda learned she fractured the right and left side of her jaw prosthesis which has left her jaw deviated to the left with minimal opening. Her neck that is fused at the 4-5, 5-6, 6-7 level with a rod, both elbows, and right hand were sadly, reinjured, as well. Since this jaw prosthesis is no longer available and is no longer on the market, two metal plates along with approximately thirty screws will be removed and replaced.  She will have to endure, once again, her seventh jaw surgery--- this being her second total jaw reconstruction with a new prosthesis.  Surgery is tentatively scheduled for July 2011. Needless to say, she is unable to work and has accumulated unexpected expenses due to her tragic accident.  She is devastated, but in good spirits, and anxiously awaiting this serious and intense surgery.  Dr. Larry Wolford, at Baylor Medical Center, in Dallas, Texas, is her surgeon.
